Syaharani leads the climate and decarbonization works at the Indonesian Center for Environmental Law (ICEL), where she contributes to advancing policy and legal frameworks related to climate change, good energy governance, and just transition in Indonesia. She has been involved in supporting various policy development processes and civil society initiatives in the field, aimed at strengthening environmental and energy governance including participating in the Just Transition Working Group under the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) as ICEL’s principal representative. She also pilots ICEL’s I-LEAD platform, which hosts Indonesia’s first landmark environmental case database and delivers legal capacity-building programs for judges, public interest lawyers, and academics.
