Leon is the Campaigns Support and Linkages coordinator since 2022 of the Legal Rights and Natural Resources Center (LRC), a legal, policy, research and advocacy institution established in 1987 to enable indigenous peoples and other marginalized rural communities’ meaningful participation in policy reforms and access to justice. He currently works on action researches, communication strategies, and movement building with indigenous peoples confronting critical minerals, energy transition, and forest tenure conflicts. Leon has been applying creative strategies as resource speaker, training facilitator, and lobby and advocacy campaigner in national and international fora, conferences, and other gatherings related to environmental justice and environmental defender rights for the past 14 years.
