Karen Lee Hizola is the Co-Founder and lead designer of the organization, Earth Technology and Human Inspired Collaborations (ETHIC). She is a licensed electronics engineer and a development worker. Her interests extend from permaculture and sustainable development to AI and emerging technologies. She believes in bridging these fields to tackle complex global issues guided by ethics and the imperative of social responsibility. She worked in Global Seedsavers for seven years, serving as the Executive Director in 2020-2023. Shea also worked in SEARICE as a Policy Officer, and with Mahalina Foundation, first as a consultant, and later on as Assistant Director of Healing and Regenerative Arts.
