Femy Pinto is the Director of NTFP-EP Asia since 2015. She has dedicated her career to advocating for Indigenous Peoples’ rights in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, starting thirty years ago on Palawan Island—Pulo ng Palawan—during the fight against rampant logging. This effort led to the island’s mobilisation and organisation of Indigenous Peoples to assert their rights over ancestral domains, maintain their customary livelihoods, and safeguard biodiversity. It also contributed to a breakthrough environmental protection law aimed at defending Palawan.
