Human Rights Campaign and Policy Advocacy Programme @ Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP)

Dharmodip Basumatary belongs to the Bodo Indigenous People from the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) in Northeast India. He is an Officer at the Human Rights Campaign and Policy Advocacy Programme (HRCPA) of the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) and the focal point for Lands, Territories, and Resources (LTR). He also facilitates the Regional Platform for Asia Indigenous Peoples Territorial Rights (PAIPT) hosted by AIPP and supported by ILC. He is a former Indigenous fellow at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNOHCHR). He has been engaged in defending Indigenous Peoples’ rights since 2004 as a Human Rights activist in Northeast India before joining AIPP in 2019.
