Cindy is the Executive Coordinator of the Working Group ICCA’s Indonesia (WGII). She is an environmental justice activist advocating for Indigenous Peoples’ rights. She has been active in several activist coalitions in Indonesia, including the Tenure Coalition, Right-based Fisheries Management Coalition, and Climate Justice Coalition. In 2023, Cindy was pivotal in establishing the ICCA Custodian Network in Indonesia. Her leadership and initiative enabled the network to engage in national advocacy work on the frontlines. To link local-to-global advocacy support for ICCAs—territories of life, Cindy actively participates in international policy negotiations, such as those under the Convention on Biological Diversity and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
