Albert is a Senior Research Fellow leading the climate change, disasters, and development cluster of SEI Asia and the Head of Secretariat of the Adaptation Research Alliance, a global coalition for action-oriented adaptation research. Albert has at least 15 years of experience in research, policy engagement and capacity building on climate change adaptation in Southeast Asia. His research areas include traditional climate knowledge, resource rights, human rights and climate change, agrarian studies, and post-disaster livelihood sustainability. He has lead and contributed to a number of projects, to mention a few – SEI’s Initiative on Transforming Development and Disaster Risk.; the Small Islands and Climate Change initiative in weADAPT; research projects with the National University of Singapore and Chulalongkorn University.
