Adrian is a renewable energy practitioner, innovator and social entrepreneur with a special interest in renewable energy systems such as micro hydro, solar PV, solar thermal, wind and biomass. He served as Senator at the Malaysian Parliament Senate. Adrian is the Founder of TONIBUNG and Centre for Renewable Energy and Appropriate Technologies – CREATE, a centre dedicated to conduct research and development for small scale RE system for rural applications. He also specializes in facilitation of community mapping and participatory GIS. TONIBUNG has been instrumental in implementing micro-hydroelectric systems for communities in the Baram basin, making clear that renewable village-scale solutions are viable. Mr. Lasimbang was an ACUMEN Academy Malaysia Fellow in 2022.
